Hey Guys! We have the latest Glove Review from my good pal James! (Bot) This Is the newly redesigned part one "OG" Glove! James is a great guy and a great friend, hes even heading up our new BRC Merchandise website! His artistry is AMAZING! You should definitely Check Out his work and while your there buy some sweet BRC Gear! We truly appreciate all his hard work on our behalf and just seriously dig how much he loves his Freddy Glove from BRC!www.cafepress.com/boilerroomcreationsHeres what James had to say about his OG Freddy Glove: "The Glove is the very thing of nightmares. When considering how to do the review i realized it is two parted. For you see, the very experience of the build and ordering process itself was an experience that deserves just as much review as the glove itself. I'll kick things off with the review of the glove then review the ordering experience.
The OG Glove is as every bit as detailed as I hoped. Something that I don't think I've read anywhere is that in addition to looking extremely faithful to it;s screen counterpart it has a grittiness to the feel that beckons the very boiler room it was created in. This is important (to me) as it really adds to the realness of glove. From the smooth yet bent surface of the backplate to the lumpy solder around the blades and the worn feel of the glove just really make this feel like the real deal!
The aging is phenomenal as it really looks like it has been around for years and not weeks like I know. The little bends in the metal and the blades just add to the overall experience of this handcrafted device of torture and death. I can see how this will age on it's own over time and Greg has provided a real easy guide on caring for the glove to help me keep it looking great year after year. Plus with the fantastic warranty, I really don't have anything to worry about as he stands by his gloves so he is there for repairs if needed.
The movement of the fingers is fantastic. I own the Versus Glove that was sold at retail and I have issues with that glove being too big. The Versus Glove by design is a big glove. When I finally got a metal glove I was so pumped only to be a bit disheartened that it was floppy on my hand. That is not the case with my OG Glove from BRC. It has been custom fit to fit me like ..like a glove!
My overall impression is that I have the next best thing to owning the actual A Nightmare on Elm Street part 1 Glove! I Love it and have carried it with me to work everyday since it arrived because I simply do not want to part with it. I just haven't had enough yet. Now I need to find a nice way of displaying it at home.
Now on to the order experience. Well to sum it up, it was like meeting a new friend who happened to be an expert in Glove making. From the very 1st email reply I got to my Shipping Confirmation, Greg has emailed me like we've known each other for 20 years. His emails are personal and very informative. He kept me up to date on my gloves progress with tons of pictures. As a person he is simply a good man. Even when the company was going through some ruff patches, never once did I feel concern that my glove was going to be compromised. As a matte of fact he virtually built me 6 Gloves in order to get it right. Never once did he hint at charging me extra for all the extra material. He simply wanted to make sure my glove was perfect for me. He works with the best glove makers out there and not just his partner David Mora. He is all about working with the best of the best from Travis Cowsill, Ross Arbuckle, to Mark Petire and so on. His service is so good, that even though he recommends that I try other glove makers too because he knows they offer little differences and specialties, It's hard for me to want to go anywhere else than www.boilerroomcreations.com!" Thanks James! Its customers like you that make everything we do so worthwhile!!

"Hey Guys!! So... We were so close with this latest Part 6 redesign that we just couldn’t stop until we had tweaked a few more of the details to bring it that much closer to the version seen onscreen! As it stands, the fingers and back-plate have been tweaked closer, along with the aging colors of the leather glove itself. It turned out looking so good that it even surprised us! BUT don't take our word for it, instead take the word of one of our recent customers who now owns the new ... Continue reading...
